The 2026-2027 Holiday Calendar: When to Start Your Preparations?

The year flies by! Between work, school, and extracurricular activities, the months blend together, and we often find ourselves rushing at the last minute to find birthday candles, Halloween decorations, or New Year's confetti.

Anticipation is the secret to a successful party (and relaxed parents!). To help you get organized, here is the calendar of major celebrations for 2026-2027 and our ideal timeline to ensure you're never caught off guard again.

🌸 Spring / Summer: Peak Celebration Season

From May to September, it's bustling: garden birthdays, baptisms, communions, and baby showers follow one after another.

• When to start preparing? 2 to 3 months in advance.
• Why so early? As soon as the good weather arrives, guests' schedules fill up quickly with long weekends and getaways. Invitations ("Save the Date") need to be sent out very early.
• Nuage de Fête's tip: This is the time to think about the theme. At J-30 (30 days before), order your decorations (balloon arches, disposable tableware) to ensure you have all items in stock. If the party is outdoors, consider our floral and nature themes!

🎃 Halloween: October 31st

The kids' favorite holiday for getting spooky (and eating too much candy).

• When to start preparing? Late September / Early October (J-30).
• Organization: Halloween requires very specific decorations that are often out of stock by mid-October.

The most magical time of the year, but also the most mentally demanding.

• When to start preparing? Mid-November.
• Organization: We often think about gifts, but forget about table decorations! A beautiful holiday table needs to be imagined in advance: choice of colors (traditional red and gold, or modern frosted?), place cards, centerpieces.
• Nuage de Fête's tip: In late November, order your confetti cannons, "Happy New Year" balloons, and chic party tableware to avoid the stress of December deliveries.

🎭 Carnival & Mardi Gras: February / March 2027

The perfect occasion for a colorful costume party in the middle of winter.

• When to start preparing? 3 weeks in advance.
• Organization: This is a more spontaneous celebration, often held at home with school friends.
